AOF September 2017: Taylor Swift

aof september 2017: taylor swift

From wiping her social media completely clean to teasing her new album with mysterious snake videos, Taylor Swift's unveiling of her new single and music video was nothing short of epic.

With Taylor, you never know what to expect. She’s always five steps ahead of her fans, and we’re struggling to keep up.

But, it turns out she’s been hiding clues in plain sight. The latest fan theory to come out of the Swiftie universe involves her Instagram captions, because that’s really all the information we have to work with right now.

Someone on BuzzFeed first pointed out that when Taylor announced the first single off of Reputation, “Look What You Made Me Do”, she also blatantly gave us a clue about the title of her second single—we just didn’t realise it.

When announcing “Look What You Made Me Do”, Taylor captioned her Instagram announcement, “Ready for it? New single #LookWhatYouMadeMeDo out now. Pre-order #reputation (link in bio) and find out about tickets and merch at taylorswift.com.”

When the name of her second single was revealed a little over a week later, mental lightbulbs turned on, and the world to a second look at her Instagrams, this time digging a little deeper.

Now, some social media users think the third track will be called “A Second Glance”, since her second single's announcement was captioned: “A second glance into #reputation…ready for it? Link in bio”.

This is hardly the first fan theory stemming from Taylor’s new album. From shading Calvin Harris, Lorde, and Karlie Kloss to potentially shouting out High School Musical, fans have dissected the new song and video within an inch of its life, and we’re still as confused (and very very excited) as ever.
